Job description, responsibilities and duties

About the role

As a student in our GIR department you will focus on Swiss Re legal entities and you will be involved in activities related to reconciliation and accounting, analysis, and appropriate classification of Swiss Re investments according to accounting requirements.

We are multi-valuation department. What is in there for you? You can gain the knowledge for USGAAP, IFRS, Statutory standards as well as the knowledge about various investments' characteristics. You will have the opportunity to work closely with other internal departments.

Main duties

•    Reconciliation, analysis and accounting 
•    Communication with other departments to clarify specific instruments' characteristics
•    Preparation of supporting documentation for regular controls
•    Completion of ad hoc tasks assigned by the team
•    Participation on processes enhancements
•    Working with the investment system as well as other various software applications
•    Sharing the knowledge across the teams as well assist with special projects related to Investment reporting
About the team

The Global Investment Reporting (GIR) is part of Group Finance and has ownership of sub-ledger accounting and reporting for investments for both Group IFRS and Local Statutory valuations.

•    Finance/Accounting experience is an advantage

•    Flexible and open for new tasks/challenges, willing to learn
