Job description, responsibilities and duties

If you ever wondered how a big insurance company works, this position will help you learn in greater detail about corporate insurance business on an international level.

We can promise you will not be bored as your role will require you to perform many activities. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Building partnership with external clients and managing your own portfolio of partners
• Taking a proactive role in monitoring of account balances of partners in your portfolio and ensuring timely collection and processing of premium payments
• Preparing of monthly/quarterly statements and reports of your assigned portfolio
• Working closely with colleagues from different Swiss Re departments all around the world
• Data analysis and reporting (MS Excel, PowerBI)
• Handling daily business correspondence, investigation and analysis and interpretation of processed accounting information

In this role it is required to work within a set framework of processes and guidelines but nevertheless, you are going to be encouraged to make suggestions for improvements.

About the Team

We are an international team of approximately 40 professionals. We are organised and work in 3 sub-teams largely based on the region we provide service for and our language skills.

Personality requirements and skills

If you have enjoyed reading the job description so far and also meet the following requirements, we want to meet you!

You have successfully finished:
• secondary school and already have at least 2 years of experience within the field of business administration, accounting, finance or another relevant sector
• or university, preferably with specialization in economics finance, accounting
• You are not afraid of MS Excel and have already mastered a pivot table or two. If not, you are ready to show us your motivation to learn it quickly!
• You look forward to working in an international environment where you can use English fluently (German language would be an advantage) on a daily basis by communicating with internal and external partners.
• You enjoy working with and analyzing numbers, and have demonstrated your attention to detail and time management skills in your previous work and/or during your studies
