About the Role
You will assume responsibility for the end-to-end reporting process of assigned legal entities supporting the Real Estate business of Swiss Re.
Key Responsibilities
• Ownership of quarterly IFRS Group and local statutory reporting, responsibility for full trial balance review and closing related activities.
• Preparation of statutory annual accounts.
• Ad-hoc reporting, variance analysis, and accounting impact assessments in coordination with various teams.
• Presentations to senior finance management, incl. legal entity CFO, Board of Directors and other partners.
• Participation and driving the related projects and business initiated transactions.
• Business partner for management of balance sheet (cash, liquidity) and income statement (revenue, profitability, tax).
• Key contact person for internal partners and external auditors.
• Ensure operational compliance with statutory and group policies and internal control framework.

About the Team
We are an outstanding team based in Bratislava covering the Real Estate portfolio in different locations within EMEA and US region with our main focus on quarterly and annual closing activities including the preparation of the final reporting packages presented to senior management.
Our main partners are teams of General Ledger Accounting, Global Investment Reporting, Treasury, Tax and other global service operations.

Personality requirements and skills

Essentials
• At least 3 years of experience in Accounting / Reporting or Audit
• Previous experience with preparation, reporting and analysis, or audit, of the full financial statements and disclosures, is a must
• Knowledge of at least one accounting and reporting principles e.g. IFRS, US GAAP, Swiss, German
• English proficiency required, any other European language especially German is an advantage

Nice to Haves
• Accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA) is preferred
• Experience with period-end closing activities, e.g. in SAP, is a strong advantage
• Analytical and methodical work-style combined with reasonable business judgement and high-quality output with an ability to present at the management level and lead meetings efficiently
