Job description, responsibilities and duties

Join a team of cybersecurity professionals and help Swiss Re to fulfil its mission in making the world more resilient. As the Senior Security Services Engineer, your objectives will include analysing, simplifying, and improving our security processes, leading access review activities for Swiss Re users, and co-creating automated solutions to streamline the company's process efficacy. What's more, you'll be working in a hybrid setup, perfectly balancing work from home and the office premises.

About the team

The Security Team is the focal point for all security activities across Swiss Re. We are responsible for cybersecurity engineering and operations, governance, risk, and compliance, and defining as well as advancing the company's security strategy. As part of the Security Team, the System Access Operations team is mainly responsible for a manual provisioning of more than 100 applications in fields such as trading, banking, IT, asset management, and many others across Swiss Re. We're looking for an experienced engineer who'll help us to improve our processes and services through diligent analysis and ensure our security agenda is properly followed.

In your role, you will:

- Coordinate, implement, and fine-tune access provisioning for colleagues and customers
- Continually improve and simplify our processes and services via data analysis
- Remove dependencies and co-create automated solutions
- Perform and evaluate compliance processes and activities to ensure IT general controls (ITGCs) are followed
- Support and conduct review activities of user access and system identities
- Coordinate requests and issues with responsible parties
- Adhere to various standards and regulatory compliance requirements
- Foster a learning and development-centred culture and support team-based collaboration
- Deal with incidents, issues, and improvement opportunities
- Be someone who believes in continuous innovation, is curious and relentless in finding a better way every day

What we need from you

- General knowledge of IT, centred primarily on security systems, admin platforms and access administration, and Identity and Access Management
- Experience with SQL and Microsoft Power BI
- Experience in gathering and analysing data using analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with MS Excel and Azure
- Ability to solve technical challenges creatively and efficiently
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English

Nice-to-have

- Experience with Power Platform and/or Power Automate
