About the role & team

We want to bring our reporting and data management to a new level and are looking for curious talents who want to be part of the journey. We are starting a new team that will take over the existing reports and radically automate and improve the data flow. As a next step this team will be responsible for data management and insights generation, developing from reporting to data engineering and analytics.
We are seeking talents with a passion for technology who are interested in developing into data engineers with a focus on their clients. You will collaborate with colleagues from Swiss Re's largest data science team to give you the support to grow in the analytical areas and get an easy introduction into our environment. Your focus will be on supporting automation, processes and data pipelines. Minimizing manual tasks and report generation to allow the team to focus on more challenging topics in data engineering and insights generation/analytics.
We collaborate in a flexible working environment, providing you with a compelling degree of autonomy to decide how, when and where to carry out your tasks.

Responsibilities & Key Tasks

• Collecting data from various sources and systems
• Supporting the team in extraction preparation and transformation of data
• Helping the team design, develop and execute analytics solutions
• Proposing process changes to achieve efficiency
• Supporting data scientists in automation of manual processes, analysis and insights generation

• Ideally a university student of 4/5th year of study
• Have curiosity about Data Analytics
• Be proficient in MS Excel
• Strong analytical skills, ability to analyze large sets of data
• Commitment to data quality, attention to detail and solution oriented
• Demonstrate accuracy and commitment to quality
• Can-do attitude and willingness to learn
• English language proficiency
