Are you an IT Disaster Recovery Manager with a passion for accelerating resiliency and seeking the opportunity to work for a well-respected and established company in the reinsurance industry? We are looking for a DR Capability and Coordination Lead to drive the development and implementation of the Groups IT DR Plans and Testing Lifecycle. You will work with a diverse team of talented professionals supporting with developing, implementing and testing disaster recovery plans, and coordinating with relevant teams to ensure that recovery efforts are timely and effective.


As the Capability lead you are responsible for the run-part of the IT Continuity squad to ensure a mature and proficient IT DR Plan and Exercise Preparedness posture. You are responsible to contribute and to utilize the squads DR Coordinators for effective support in all critical areas listed below. This includes leading by example and continuous Knowledge Transfer and Coaching the team on needed capabilities (up-skilling) to perform the desired tasks in an efficient and meaningful manner.

Role and Responsibilities

-Collaborate with the squad, helping to develop and implement Disaster Recovery strategies and plans for the company's Core IT systems and services.
-Act as the bridge between DR Test Coordinators and Infrastructure and Application Teams to ensure IT DR Plans, DR Scenarios and DR Test criteria are tested and kept up to date.
-Design, Scope and Coordinate risk based Annual DR Tests Exercises including coordination with internal and external partners where needed.
-Identify and document standard methodologies, lessons learnt from DR Exercises that will serve as guidance for Infrastructure and Application Teams.
-Maintain contacts and networks required for recovery resources and support systems (IT Emergency contact lists).
-Conduct Communication- and Education- measures like organizing Awareness Trainings to cultivate ITSCM DR mentality in the IT Continuity Tech Community.
-Act as critical IT Continuity advisor helping to supervise and provide key insights into downtime tolerances, continuity preparedness and emergency contacts.
-Actively report and communicate to tangent capability areas (Governance, Risk Management) within the squad for process improvements and vice versa.


We are happy to meet you if you possess:
-A degree in related field or relevant experience of business domain.
-Qualifications or ability to demonstrate BCM, IT Continuity and DR knowledge.
-3+ years pf experience in disaster recovery, emergency management, or related field.
-Strong technical expertise in IT disaster recovery, including experience developing and implementing disaster recovery plans and strategies.
-Experience working with a variety of teams and stakeholders, and the ability to effectively coordinate and lead complex projects.
-A sound understanding of the challenges and risks associated with IT disaster recovery, and the ability to stay abreast of industry trends and developments
Sound technical understanding of Core Infrastructure-, Management-, Middleware- and CSP Services.
-Passion about Agile principles and are excited to embed them into your daily work
-A continuous improvement mind-set and dedication to uncovering better ways of working
"CAN DO" mentality and willingness to learn new technologies to continuously upskill.
-Ability to prioritize and apply sound commercial judgment.
-Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
-English proficiency is a must.
