This role provides you a chance to gain a deep understanding of our business and the multi-valuation and multi-dimensional reporting of a major legal entity. You will collaborate closely with experts in different functions that will support your professional and personal development. You will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and as team head, you will shape the formation of a newly created team and optimize processes.

Main tasks:
• Lead and develop a team of reporting specialists and ensure effective resource allocation
• Motivate, coach and develop the team members in accordance with the set of goals and objectives
• Establish a network and closely collaborate with the respective professionals across the organization. The position acts with a high degree of autonomy and discretion within the delegated authority
• Be responsible with your team for the quarterly close of the US-GAAP (IFRS in the future) and local financial statements by monitoring the closing process and provide accounting guidance
• Perform analytical procedures for all valuation to understand the legal entity's story line
• Prepare on a quarterly or annually basis qualitative reporting to the Management Committee, Board of Directors or other internal clients on all valuations as well as reporting to regulatory bodies or other governing authorities on local accounting standards
• Be responsible that we execute on high-quality, robust processes for all reporting deliverables, in line with existing Swiss Re processes and deliverables for our already well established carriers
• Contribute to improve processes and systems to ensure compliance with the risk and control framework and audit requirements, and also to meet internal management expectations

About the team:
We are looking for a qualified and experienced team head for our SRE Finance Carrier Reporting & Analysis Services teams. In close collaboration with carrier teams in Luxembourg these teams will play a pivotal Finance role in the preparation, analysis and reporting of financial information for all valuations of one of the biggest legal entities of Swiss Re Group.

Personality requirements and skills

• University degree, preferably in finance/accounting/economics with minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience, audit experience would be an advantage
• Proven team lead experience with a minimum of 3 years
• Strong analytical skills and holistic approach
• Ability to work with complex details, under tight deadlines and apply good business judgement and deliver high-quality output independently
• Ability to make decisions within the parameters of the role and to explain the business rationale behind
• Strong great teammate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong customer focus
• Intercultural competencies and the ability to understand complex processes. Keen to learn and quickly and efficiently adapt to changes
• Highly motivated individual used to working in a highly performance driven, professional and international environment
• Proven relationship builder - ability to engage and inspire others and to coordinate and influence in a complex, cross-functional environment.
