We are looking for an experienced HR Partner who will provide a high-quality and customer focused HR service to a designated client group. In this role you will be supporting our Finance Community (600 employees). This is an exciting, hands on role which strives for operational excellence and strategic advisory by building strong relationships with our business leaders located in and partly outside Slovakia.

You will be joining a smart team that is keen to make a business impact and add customer value to the organisation. We need a colleague to provide proactive, commercial, risk-based support to managers and other key customers and manage key projects in an evolving environment. This role demands high agility in various aspects. It requires you demonstrating your ability to apply impactful influential skills.

You will do this by ensuring you:
· Establish relationship with leadership teams to align HR philosophy and business priorities with the strategic direction of the location and functional growth
· Provide credible HR support: advise, guide and lead on complex employee relations cases such as performance management, disciplinaries. Including where necessary, working with internal and external Legal Counsel
· Coach, challenge and advise leaders across all people-relevant topics, incl. talent management, succession planning, performance management, compensation etc in close collaboration with our Global HR Partners
· Serve as a facilitator, project coordinator and subject matter expert on HR related initiatives and projects, working as part of an EMEA HR community
· Continually champion and support Inclusion & Diversity and wellbeing initiatives, working cross-functionally where possible
· Support/drive any change management required to successfully execute the agreed upon HR strategic plan
· Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention

About the team
You will become part of the local Slovak HR team with a direct reporting line to the Head of HR for Swiss Re Slovakia. You will be working closely with colleagues from HR across the world, as we are part of international community. We are very client focused with an outstanding team spirit and passion to perform. Whilst we build on our relationship with our clients, we share our expertise and know-how to create new value for the business and Swiss Re.

Requirements for the employee

University education (Bachelor's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

· You have a university degree or equivalent HR background
· You bring strong HR generalist experience, including solid experience of Slovakia Employee Relations and knowledge of local employment law. You can apply this practically and pragmatically within a commercial framework.
· You bring a commercial mindset and apply a flexible working style.
· You bring 5+ years of experience in a similar role and ideally experience of working in a global matrix organisation.
· You are collaborative team mate and you foster strong relationships based on trust and integrity.
· You demonstrate excellent influencing skills and the ability to stand firm / push back when needed.
· You act empathetically with edge and can deal with ambiguity and change.
