About the Role

iptiQ EMEA L&H Underwriting is growing and we have an opportunity for an experienced professional to expand their horizons and join us on our journey to insure more people every day. As a L&H Underwriter based at our Centre of Excellence in Bratislava you will use your knowledge to support the underwriting assessment of new business applications across the EMEA region. You will use our world leading underwriting manual (Life Guide) and collaborate closely with our experienced team of underwriters to make decisions on individual risks. You will also routinely contribute to and sometimes take the lead on any other operational areas of the Underwriting department including project work, product development, trainings, reporting, audit, etc.

On a daily basis you will be responsible for managing the following:

• Reviewing of customer information (medical, financial, occupational/recreational) and collection of additional information in order to assess potential customers and decide on the risk for a policy.
• Evaluating insurance applications and making decisions in accordance with iptiQ's underwriting standards.
• Data entry of underwriting cases in iptiQ's specialized underwriting systems.
• Support cross-functional collaboration with other iptiQ teams in delivering value to the business.
• Contribute to the continuous development of iptiQ's underwriting related tools.
• Pro-actively identifying and designing solutions to problems affecting the Underwriting department's ability to meet its objectives.
• Preparation and support for client facing activities.
• Building and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
• Travel to other iptiQ/partner locations from time to time (once travel is safe again) to understand location specific business needs.
