Job description, responsibilities and duties

As an Auditor, you will join EMEA Chapter Auditor´s Community and get the opportunity to learn about new areas of Swiss Re! You can bring your knowledge from accounting, finance or economic background when assessing the efficiency of the processes and controls and coming up with workable solutions to any weaknesses you may identify. You will get the opportunity to work with various stakeholders across Group Internal Audit and the business and be part of strategic initiatives, if you want to.

Your main responsibilities in this position will be to:
- Participate in global, regional, and local audits positively impacting EMEA and other GIA (Group Internal Audit) Chapters.
- Use your areas of expertise to contribute effectively to GIA's audit plan.
- Contribute to the development and optimization of business processes, governance, risk management and internal controls of our clients.
- Perform testing of Financial Reporting Risk (FRR) controls and be an active part of the planning process and coordination for FRR. Additionally, you will help on the administrative side to make the FRR process go as smoothly as possible.
- Continuously develop your technical know-how and your soft skills through on-and-off-the-job training and acquire in-depth knowledge of a wide range of topics.
- Work in a diversified team in an international network and receive regular feedback from colleagues.

This is a temporary position for a maternity cover.

- Have a quick grasp and a flair for analytical thinking, especially with regards to the connection of business topics and business processes
- Have a high willingness to learn and develop professionally and personally
- Have excellent communication skills
- Are motivated, team, client and goal-oriented and want to take on responsibility from the beginning and work in an environment with an active coaching and feedback culture.
- Ideally have some work experience in audit, another assurance function or in a professional capacity related to the reinsurance/financial services industry
- CPA, CA, CIA or professional certification (preferred)
