Be part of team of application engineers focusing on Finance applications, helping to embed our culture of continuous improvement and contribute in demanding projects.

Contribute to the design, implementation and maintenance of new features / components / interfaces / documentation of our platforms, ensuring the delivery of high-quality code focusing on simplicity, performance, maintainability and automation.

Help us appraise and then deliver new, innovative and creative ideas & technologies to evolve our platforms

About the Team
We are a dynamic and international team of experienced specialists that design, build and operate the Group Finance IT landscape in collaboration with our business partners. We follow agile methodologies and apply DevOps practices. We are actively focusing on the Microsoft Azure as a cloud solution for our future landscape.

Personality requirements and skills

About You
You are a result driven software engineer with a university degree (Masters preferred) in IT, engineering (or similar), comfortable meeting (sometime tight) deadlines.

You desire to develop your skills and knowledge about the platforms on you will be working on, both the technical aspects and how they are used by our business partners.

You are willing to working in multi-dimensional agile teams with direct involvement from business SMEs and care about security, quality, user experience, documentation, testing, team spirit and the big picture.

Finally, you want to put clean code principles into practice on large code bases.

Requirements to be successful as our new teammate

Nobody is perfect and meets 100% of requirements. If you however meet some of the criteria below, we will be happy to meet you.

Necessary criteria to be successful in this role:
-Core Java skills, ideally with experience with the Spring Framework (especially Spring Boot), Java 11+, JPA
-Experience with Java tooling and ecosystem: maven, junit, etc.
-Focus on automated testing and test-driven development.
Good object-oriented design skills, familiarity with design principles and patterns
-Good working knowledge of data modelling and SQL
-Willing to get hands dirty with Cloud Computing
-Enjoy solving challenging problems, both technical and functional
-Highly proficient in English (written and verbal)

Optional skills which will help you to succeed as our new teammate:
-Building frontend apps with Angular and TypeScript
-Knowledge of Non-SQL databases
-Experience with webservices and REST APIs and distributed systems
