The Statutory and Regulatory Reporting Team of iptiQ EMEA P&C is responsible for the financial management and reporting of the non-life insurance carrier based in Luxembourg according to Luxembourg GAAP, local GAAP's and Solvency II.

About the role:

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Financial Reporting Specialist in Bratislava. You will work on multi-valuation management and financial reporting of the assigned legal entities according to Luxembourg GAAP and local GAAP's, and to a lesser extent Solvency II valuation principles for the company based in Luxembourg.

What your day-to-day activities will include:

• Lead the process and prepare the annual accounts of the legal entities.
• Lead the process and prepare the statutory reporting required by the insurance supervisors and regulatory bodies.
• Prepare reporting to Senior Management and the Board of Directors as well as ad-hoc reporting requirements.
• Coordinate and actively support the external audit processes of the legal entities and branches.
• Manage the coordination process with Swiss Re Group and Business Functions and partners to ensure effective financial management.
• Establish efficient reporting processes to reduce operational risk.

Personality requirements and skills

About you:

• A motivated self-starter who is able to execute tasks with a strong level of independence
• Creative, forward-thinking and have a willingness to challenge the status-quo
• Five or more years of work experience in the financial services industry (insurance business desirable)
• University degree in Economics, Science or Business Administration
• Qualification in Accounting and/or Audit is desirable
• Knowledge regarding Lux GAAP accounting policies and Luxembourg regulatory framework is desirable
• Experience in Solvency II is desirable
• Experience in IFRS and other European local GAAP standards desirable
• Project management capabilities and experience coupled with good communication skills
• Excellent command of the English language; French or German are assets
