Job description, responsibilities and duties

Join a team of cyber security professionals and help Swiss Re to fulfil its mission in making the world more resilient. As the Team Lead of Swiss Re's Security Insights function, you'll develop indicators to measure the effectiveness of Swiss Re's cyber security services, oversee their utilisation and further evolution to drive operational excellence, and lead a team of analysts and reporting specialists who'll support you in accomplishing this mission. We strongly believe in the power of data, and we are determined to leverage this power to drive the evolution of our cyber security capabilities. What's more, you'll be working in a hybrid setup, perfectly balancing work from home and the office premises.


About the team
The Security Team is the focal point for all security activities across Swiss Re. We are responsible for cyber security engineering and operations, governance, risk & compliance, and defining as well as advancing the company's security strategy. As a part of the Security Team, the Strategy & Operations unit drives the evolution of this security strategy and overlooks all operational aspects of the Security Team and its services. We are looking for a sharp-witted data analyst with strong leadership skills, a proven track record in measuring process effectiveness and a knack for driving change based on observable metrics.


In your role, you will…
- Develop and continuously evolve a framework of service level indicators & objectives to assess the effectiveness of our security services
- Materialize and visualize this framework in intuitive dashboards and user-friendly reporting solutions
- Report and communicate insights on security performance to security teams and senior leaders, and drive decisions & outcomes for improved performance and operational excellence
- Manage additional security stakeholders and serve their specific reporting & insights needs
- Lead the members of the Security Insights team and support their professional growth and career development

Personality requirements and skills

What we need from you

-Practical experience in data and operational process analysis
- Hands-on experience with modern analytics & reporting platforms
-Strong people & change management as well as (thought) leadership skills
- Fluency in spoken & written English
- Executive communication skills and the ability to articulate data driven insights

Nice-to-have
- Exposure to agile methodologies (e.g. Kanban, Scrum, SAFe, etc.)
- Work experience with Azure Synapse, Palantir Foundry and Power BI
- Insight into operational aspects of relevant security disciplines like Identity & Access Management, Cyber Defence, Governance, Risk & Compliance, Third Party Cyber Risk Management, etc.
- Proven track record in a security and/or risk management discipline
- A university degree in Computer Science or equivalent
