Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are seeking a Tester (Quality Analyst) who will be a member of the Underwriting Solutions Centre team. Your role will involve supporting the implementation of our automated underwriting tool, Magnum, with our global client base.

You will be instrumental in ensuring the quality of Magnum product and maintaining its high reputation in the market.

You will work closely with colleagues globally to build and apply excellent testing methodologies for Functional testing, System Testing and User acceptance testing. You will collaborate with colleagues around the globe to drive quality and client satisfaction.

The main responsibilities include:-
• Test plan development & execution: Working from the specifications to develop and perform test plans that ensure the accurate functioning of the system
• Issue management: Identifying, raising & prioritizing issues and tracking these to a successful resolution
• Client liaison: Working as part of the implementation team to provide clients with documentation & guidance on their testing and to investigate issues reported by clients.
• Rulebase development: The role will also involve aspects of rule analysis and development as well as involvement in UAT activities
• Building, maintaining and contributing to the development of industry recognised standard testing methodologies, and processes.
• Producing clear specification documents, designing and implementing Automated UW Rules, building and carrying out unit and scenario tests.
• Working through timelines and within defined processes. To analyse data and underwriting outcomes to improve rule performance will compliment your core responsibilities.
• Drive defect management and RCA for various client projects and find opportunities for improvement

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

• Overall 3-5 years or more experience as tester
• The ability to prepare and develop clear documentation including test plans and test closure reports.
• Experience of working with Agile software development methodologies
• Hands-on experience with test automation using open source tools for functional automation and API Testing.
• Proficient IT skills including SQL and the ability to apply some of the advanced features of Word/Excel/Access. Good knowledge of JIRA and Confluence
• Industry recognized Testing qualifications
