Job description, responsibilities and duties

Join a team of cybersecurity professionals and help Swiss Re to fulfil its mission in making the world more resilient. As the Senior Vulnerability Management Analyst, you'll act as Scrum Master and coordinator, being responsible for the effectiveness and efficiency of the vulnerability management process in Swiss Re as well as providing reports to IT Leadership. What's more, you'll be working in a hybrid setup, perfectly balancing work from home and the office premises.

About the team

The Security Team is the focal point for all security activities across Swiss Re. We are responsible for cybersecurity engineering and operations, governance, risk, and compliance, defining and advancing the company's security strategy. As a part of the Security Team, the mission of the Vulnerability Management Team is to ensure Swiss Re's infrastructure components and applications are continuously tested and scanned for all known vulnerabilities and security misconfigurations, while collaborating with red and blue teams on our continuous resilience against emerging threat actors. We're looking for a skilled coordinator who'll help us lead and improve our vulnerability defence infrastructure across the company.

Personality requirements and skills

In your role, you will…

• Be the Scrum Master and operational coordinator for the Vulnerability Management Team
• Enable continuous process improvement
• Strategically coordinate the implementation of improvements agreed with the Product Owner (PO) and the team
• Become the central point of contact for various governance representatives for vulnerability management process-related topics and activities
• Perform regular analysis of our attack surface together with our SMEs
• Understand how current and new vulnerabilities can be exploited in an IT system
• Assist the PO with defining the squad's Objectives & Key Results (OKRs)
• Actively participate in Security Management Chapter activities, sharing sessions and development/strategic projects that span across different security areas

Your qualifications

• What we need from you
o University degree in Business IT, Computer Science (or comparable education/experience)
o 3–5 years of professional experience working in IT or on Cyber Security-related projects
o Good understanding of security principles and corporate IT
o Strong analytical & conceptual skills
o Ability to communicate in a clear, empathetic, independent, and solution-focused manner in both business and IT terms, tailoring the communication style to the various stakeholders
o Provable experience in stakeholder management (up to the Director level), gathered in working environments like the "Big 4" consulting companies or industry roles
o Good people-management skills, required to drive squad activities and act as a mentor for junior members
o Ability to closely collaborate across multiple locations (previous experience highly desirable)
o Excellent knowledge of MS Office
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
o Knowledge of SCRUM and Agile principles with previous experience is a big plus

• Nice-to-have
o Experience working in a security operations centre (SOC) and, possibly, a vulnerability management team
o Good understanding of vulnerability management frameworks and methodologies
