Job description, responsibilities and duties

Join a team of cybersecurity professionals and help Swiss Re to fulfil its mission in making the world more resilient. As a Senior Vulnerability Response Analyst, you'll use your expertise in vulnerability management and ability to respond to zero-day vulnerabilities and emerging threats, reducing the attack surface, and cooperating with Incident Response and Threat Intelligence teams. What's more, you'll be working in a hybrid setup, perfectly balancing work from home and the office premises.

About the team

The Security Team is the focal point for all security activities across Swiss Re. We are responsible for cybersecurity engineering and operations, governance, risk, and compliance, defining and advancing the company's security strategy. As a part of the Security Team, the mission of the Vulnerability Management Team is to ensure Swiss Re's infrastructure components and applications are continuously tested and scanned for all known vulnerabilities and security misconfigurations, while collaborating with red and blue teams on our continuous resilience against emerging threat actors. We're looking for a skilled analyst who'll help us to protect our security landscape by analysing and improving our operations against threats and vulnerabilities.

Personality requirements and skills

In your role, you will…

• Define and operationalise an overarching operating model for Attack Surface Management operations
• Collaborate with the blue team to respond to zero-day vulnerabilities and severe threats affecting our system landscape
• Monitor and maintain an end-to-end vulnerability management process flow and associated service level indicators and objectives (SLIs & SLOs)
• Understand how current and new vulnerabilities can be exploited in our system landscape
• Prioritise vulnerability remediation based on contextual risk rating
• Assist Vulnerability Management Product Owner with the development and improvement of vulnerability management processes
• Support IT owners on vulnerability remediation
• Provide regular analysis of our security posture


What we need from you

• University degree in Business IT, Computer Science (or comparable education/experience)
• 4+ years of professional experience
• Excellent understanding of corporate IT and of the security principles
• Specific knowledge and provable vertical experience in the vulnerability management domain or in a Security Operations Centre (SOC/IR team)
• Strong analytical & conceptual skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to closely collaborate across multiple locations
• Ability to communicate in a clear, empathetic, independent, and solution-focused manner
• Feeling comfortable with leading through sophisticated conversations across multiple stakeholders
