Join a team of cybersecurity professionals and help Swiss Re to fulfil its mission in making the world more resilient. As the Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you'll be tasked with using DevOps tools to maintain and improve our technical infrastructure and migrate pipelines to novel solutions. What's more, you'll be working in a hybrid setup, perfectly balancing work from home and the office premises.

About the team

The Security Team is the focal point for all security activities across Swiss Re. We are responsible for cybersecurity engineering and operations, governance, risk and compliance, and defining as well as advancing the company's security strategy. As a part of the Security Team, CoE (Centre of Expertise) DevOps and Reliability Engineering is a team focused on building and implementing Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines as well as monitoring and alerting capabilities for solutions owned and operated by the Security Team. We're looking for a skilled engineer who'll work closely with a newly formed Privileged Access Management team, catering to all their DevOps and reliability engineering needs.

In your role, you will…

- Focus on operating the new Privileged Access Management solution in a high-availability setup with ambitious service-level agreements (SLAs)
- Use DevOps tools to maintain Infrastructure as Code, automate changes and implement CI/CD delivery
- Fix, improve, and advance infrastructure while solving underlying issues
- Collaborate with team members to plan projects and analyze requirements
- Identify and eliminate toil by introducing automation

Personality requirements and skills

What we need from you
- A degree in Computer Science or comparable field
- Demonstrable work experience in IT operations, system administration or other applicable experience
- Experience with agile software development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban), CI/CD processes, automation for release and deployment processes, and DevOps
- A methodical, organized approach, proficient at prioritizing tasks and driving objectives to completion, reporting any impediments along the way
- Good communication skills in spoken and written English.

Nice-to-have
- Understanding of technologies related to information security, Privileged Access Management, and Identity & Access Management
- Proficiency in one or more programming and scripting languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Bash, PowerShell, etc.)
- Proficiency in SQL, web applications, Linux system administration
- Experience with cloud technologies (public, private, hybrid)
- Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Hands-on experience managing infrastructure in cloud environments and using automation, configuration management and provisioning tools (e.g., Terraform, Puppet, Azure DevOps)
