We are looking for a data analyst to help our finance community in providing consistent, reliable and timely information to its clients.

There are 2 main areas that the team operates in, and the role is to become an expert in one of those areas, while also developing skills and knowledge to be able to work with team members specialising in the other area.

Reporting Operations Area is responsible for the maintenance and review of Standard Reports, definition and set-up of new report standards and support training activities.

The Master Data and Quality Assurance Area is steering and maintaining information to ease management reporting. The main drivers are booking and organizational structure attributes (Profit Centres and Types of Amount). The team has to make sure that the data and attributes are consistent and reliable.

Your main tasks:

• Involvement in advanced analytics reporting solutions with a focus on data related tasks
• Data extraction, preparation, transformation
• Support the design and implementation of production-grade solutions, supporting the team that implements the in-production solution in the hand-over process
• Help with integration of technical solutions into business contexts
• Communication with internal clients, acquisition of business knowledge to achieve proper data interpretation and work with the clients on their needs regarding data acquisition
• Train other team members
• Working with cross-functional and/or virtual teams
• Ensure that data and attributes used by reporting systems are consistent and reliable
• Ensure that reporting system accurately delivers information required by stakeholders
• Perform testing and data maintenance tasks in timely manner
• Maintain documentation and knowledge database

Python - Advanced

Personality requirements and skills

• Degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or related quantitative field
• Solid Experience with public cloud solutions (Azure or other)
• Knowledge of Python needed, other languages and techniques like R, SQL, NOSQL, PowerBI are welcome
• Analytical problem-solving skills and ability to assimilate complex information.
• Flexible and open minded - committed to a permanent learning experience
• Interest and prior knowledge in machine learning, statistical modeling and related technologies
•Ability to fluently communicate in English across various groups of people

Advantageous skills
• Experience in distributed computing (e.g. Spark)
• Specific knowledge of Finance or insurance field
