Job description, responsibilities and duties

As the Product Owner, you will work closely with the development squad and user representatives as well as the other Product Owners within the International Program Product Area. You will manage the product backlog, ensuring the appropriate prioritization of activities to maximize business value delivered.

Dedicated to the Data Insights product backlog, you will collaborate with multiple groups and be at the forefront of the product development, including:

- Direct, inform and prioritize the order of work to maximize value within constraints of resource, strategy and compliance with an entrepreneurial attitude, fully aligning with the Data Insights product area
- Ensure the data and reporting capabilities for International Programs are developed and maintained in step with the Corporate Solutions strategy
- Co-create, prioritize and communicate product roadmaps and high-level squad backlogs using iterative techniques with feedback loops
- To bring transparency of the backlog and align squad members with all partners
- To balance & manage technical debt in line with customer value work and to deliver the squad mission and objectives with shared accountability with the Product Area Lead
- To ensure voice of the customer is heard and focused on by squad
- To ensure cooperation between squads and manage interdependencies and remove impediments and create an environment for people to excel
- To support the squad to deliver on budget, to clear scope, with clear guidance on timelines with clear acceptance criteria

The International Programs Product Area sits within the Innovation and Transformation Office of Corporate Solutions. Are you data driven and tech savvy having experience of agile working practices and understanding of the user journey?

- Degree in related field or relevant experience of corporate insurance, preferably International Programs
- Qualification as CSPO / PSPO or ability to demonstrate equivalent knowledge of agile working practices
- Experience of Commercial Insurance, or relevant financial services
- Understanding of modern data programming languages and analytical frameworks
- Familiarity with the analytics ecosystem
- Experienced in understanding customer needs, can demonstrate expertise in Risk & Data, strong business & financial acumen & strategic demeanor
- Experienced communicator both written & verbal and strong partner management skills and able to influence in servant leadership style
