Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are looking for an Operating Officer for our global Risk Engineering Services (RES) team, great teammate, eager to work in an international team.

In this role your tasks will include :

- Internal Auditing, Quality Assurance and Quality Control of Risk Engineering Services products. Establishing, implementing and maintaining a global QA/QC system to ensure consistency and adherence to guidelines and best practices throughout RES tools and products
- Develop, implement and maintain firewall measures and ensure compliance with Swiss Re Underwriting firewall requirements
- Optimize Processes
- Handle and update Processes
- Support the Group Head and Management team in the implementation and execution of all RES Group's tasks and projects that go beyond the needs of the regional teams.
- Build templates considering the input from the engineers' needs in the Regions
- Implement and follow-up important metrics
- Deputize the Head of RES on topics such as BCM and Risk Management
- Refer to the Core Management team

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

- Master’s or Bachelor´s degree in Engineering or Natural Sciences
- Quality Assurance / Internal processes background
- Strong organizational and presenting skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient digital literacy (e.g., Microsoft Office products, work with databases, data analytics) and ideally an affinity to digital customer solutions (technical savviness)
- Several years experience as a risk engineer (e.g. working for a primary insurance carrier or loss prevention service provider) – including international experience (e.g. fire protection standards) is a plus
- Project management experience incl. small IT projects.
- Business sense and flexibility, self-managed, ambitious attitude
- Extraordinary teammate
- Service mindedness
- Creative with problem solving skills
- Language skills: English (business proficient) - any European language will be a plus
