About the Role
Do you enjoy thinking ahead and identifying new opportunities or anticipate future challenges? Do you like to take charge of complex, cross-functional projects in an agile way?
As Senior Accountant for Internal Reinsurance you will be able to do all of that! As part of the Swiss Re Corporate Solutions Finance team, you will play a key role in handling the Intra-Group Reinsurance (IGR) financial processes, including the contract set up, calculation scheduling, financial reporting and payment/settlement of the transactions. IGR is an activity where one company within Swiss Re Group insures activities of another company.
This allows you to understand not only our business with external partners but also the entire scope of activities within Swiss Re Group starting with contract setup, accounting, financial reporting and payment/settlement of the transactions. In addition, you will contribute to the maintenance and development of the IGR financial processing platform together with colleagues from Finance IT, which will comprise of participation in initiatives and projects.
You will interact frequently with a number of key partners, including Reinsurance and Corporate Solutions embedded Finance teams, Risk Management, Auditors, Treasury and other (Finance) functions.
You will have a chance to work in a motivated and experienced team in a fast-paced environment, you will gain insights into various aspects of Corporate Solutions' business.
Main responsibilities
Ensuring accurate implementation of IGR contracts within our finance systems
Coordinate timelines of quarterly financial production of proportional IGRs and be in charge of timely submission of the statements
Review of quarterly financial results in regard to accuracy and completeness
Contribute to improving the IGR financial processing platform and assist in User Acceptance Testings

We are a part of the Swiss Re Corporate Solutions Finance team, responsible for the handling of Intra-Group Reinsurance (IGR) financial processes globally. Demonstrate personal accountability and dedication for your area of responsibility
Great teammate with good communication and interpersonal skills
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
