About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in an exciting growth environment. You will have the chance to gain a broad insight into a wide range of risk management activities.

Primarily, you will focus on operational risk management across our EMEA entities. You will support the identification of key risks and ensure that reasonable mitigations are implemented. Reviewing the quality of risk and incident reporting, tracking progress, sharing relevant reports and driving ongoing improvement will be part of your job. As part of our due diligence responsibilities, you will review potential partners and deals as well as product proposals to support Risk Management's signature.

Are you looking for development opportunities over time? Depending on your profile, the role could be expanded to additional responsibilities such as:
• Involvement in the annual Product Review processes on Risk Management's behalf
• Coordinating Risk Management's involvement in the Solvency II reporting processes
• Continuous development of our comprehensive risk management framework

Our Risk function has a business oversight and servicing role. We are responsible for setting out the conditions under which the Company is willing to take risk, its risk tolerance and its risk management principles. We make sure that our entities' Boards and Senior Management are aware and understand the exposures, risk landscape and the risk governance framework.

You will be reporting to the Chief Risk Officer iptiQ EMEA. Our team is small and dynamic, our job is evolving with the growing business, and new ideas and client requirements guide the way forward.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

• You are passionate about working in the fast-paced environment of a young insurance company committed to the digitalization of insurance business
• You are an independent and critical thinker, willing to challenge constructively, with a can-do-attitude, curious and keen to learn.
• You bring excellent delivery skills, work diligently, assume responsibility for your own work and manage timelines adequately and independently
• You have 2-3 years of experience in operational risk management in a Financial institution with solid general knowledge/experience in Risk Management
• You have an understanding of business processes in Primary Insurance Business
• You are an analytical person, able to handle ambiguity, embrace change and you are eager to learn
• As a strong communicator, you have the ability to seamlessly interact with colleagues across functions, across locations in EMEA and on all levels
• Your English is excellent, other European languages are helpful
