Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are adopting IFRS standard in 2024, and we are looking for committed professionals into our newly built IFRS 9 central team who want to take part in building and being responsible for the new process. The team's focus is on global portfolio rather than entity specific reporting. The successful candidate will supervise the main aspects of the judgemental portion of standard requirements over the whole portfolio of financial assets, primarily related to classification and impairments. Are you interested in investments and being part of this exciting route ahead? Then join us!

Key Accountabilities:

• Develop a deep understanding of data flow, system landscapes and system interactions impacting the IFRS 9 process. Provide timely insight and resolution helping to ensure a smooth and quality flow of information through the accounting & reporting life cycle;
• Coordinate the end to end IFRS 9 ECL (Expected credit loss) process, with other teams (credit risk, data management, accounting advice, asset management) and own the final results from reporting perspective;
• Prepare the substantiation and attribution of the ECL results, together with other key supporting documents for the credit risk committee and management decision making;
• Analyse newly acquired investment products to determine their accurate accounting treatment as per the requirements of the relevant accounting standard (i.e. the SPPI (solely payment of principal and interest) test under IFRS, POCI (purchased or originated credit impaired) and staging;

About the Team

The Global Investment Reporting team has the ownership of the financial accounting sub-ledger for variety of investment products (fixed income securities, equities, derivatives, private debt, money market loans, etc.), related valuations and reporting.
