Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

The time is now for you to join Swiss Re and change the (re)insurance industry with data & analytics. As an analytics manager, you look beyond the data hype to instead focus on a business impact and outstanding client experience. You will listen and learn every day from your data science colleagues, from our business, and from the industry and academia. It is then your job to synthesize all these inputs and to turn what may start as just an analytics idea into a game-changing business product. This is your opportunity to join a global team, experience our agile ways of working and benefit from coaching for your own personal growth.

We are seeking an analytics manager, consultant or translator to join our global team of analytics professionals who support the digital transformation of Swiss Re and the (re)insurance industry.

Your main responsibilities are:

• Ideate and scope innovative analytics solutions in close collaboration with data scientists, internal stakeholders and clients.
• Independently manage portfolios of analytics projects while guiding and supporting data scientists in project steering, reporting and stakeholder management.
• Develop a deep understanding of business opportunities and challenges, feasible analytics approaches and scalable deployment infrastructure.
• Validate, interpret and present findings and solutions to business stakeholders and clients.

About the team

As Swiss Re's Advanced Analytics Center of Expertise, we partner with business functions and clients in developing state of the art technology solutions leveraging our advanced analytics and data engineering capabilities. On a regular day, you will work with your global team of about 70 analytics managers, data scientists and data engineers on delivering end-to-end solutions (of which about 10 are based in your Bratislava office). As Swiss Re's center of expertise for smart analytics, we further enable the proliferation of advanced data handling capabilities throughout the company.

In our Agile way of working, you are empowered to lead your initiatives. Your manager is your coach, and you will regularly reflect on personal growth and your career. Thanks to the innovative "Own The Way You Work" program, we offer flexibility both with regards to time and location of your work. The position offers some degree of travel to other Swiss Re offices or conferences (1-3x per year).

Our aim is to live visible and invisible diversity – diversity of age, race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, physical abilities, personalities and experiences – at all levels and in all functions and regions. We also collaborate in a flexible working environment, providing you with a compelling degree of autonomy to decide how, when and where to carry out your tasks.
