About the Role

In this role, you will support Data Management team established to meet the objective of improved data analytics, positioned to collect client data from multiple sources before analyzing and delivering output to stakeholders.

Assisting and supporting the Life and Health Business Management team in delivering transparency for the in-force business portfolio.

The role will require the candidate to analyze client policy and claims client data and underlying treaty wordings, and to format and map the data into a standardized format into various Swiss Re systems.

The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in reinsurance products, eager to learn, with a flair for information technology and capability to bring creative solutions to the table. They will also possess strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders both within and outside Business Management to ensure that the data delivery is accurate and fit for purpose.

Key Accountabilities

• Detailed analysis of client policy files, which will require an understanding of underlying product and treaty wordings
• Formatting, validating and mapping of L&H policy and claims data from various European markets, using standardized formats
• Testing and documenting evidence of successful conversion into our data warehouses
• Collaborate closely with the Actuarial Management Team, to ensure that data delivered is accurate and meets stakeholder requirements
• Effective collaboration with TA Operations team to resolve data queries, and ensure all loaded data reconciles with account booking
• Support continuous loading of data in a production environment
• Anonymizing sets to comply with data protection standard to enable further processing in systems and by teams outside EU/CH areas
• Perform other position related tasks as instructed by Supervisor and process documents and bring cash in house. The quality of our work influences Swiss Re reputation and is instrumental in the company's growth in all markets around the world.

Personality requirements and skills

• Experience in Reinsurance Technical Accounting or similar professional experience
• EMEA insurance market knowledge
• Proficient English written and spoken
• Proficient level on Microsoft Office (Excel – Pivot Tables, Word and PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of Python language is advantage
• Client relationship management experience
• Excellent analytical skills with interest in information systems, reports and data
• Flexible and open minded - committed to a permanent learning experience
• Strong problem-solving approach and keen to take ownership
• Demonstrate the ability to explore new insights and develop solutions, followed by effective implementation
• Excellent interpersonal skills
