About the Role

You will support the Department Head, and ultimately the CFO Group Operations, by leading all financial matters related to Swiss Re's service company entities, managing the intercompany cost allocations into one of the four Group's Business Segments and executing on Divisional and Global projects. Your responsibility will be also the managing and mentoring of one colleague reporting directly to you. As Head CFO Office Group Operations, you'll be a senior member of our global team and report to the Head Governance FGO in Zurich.
You'll be in daily contact with work colleagues from various locations and working on a wide variety of exciting topics. Your energy and excitement levels will be a phenomenal fit with the rest of the Division!

Key accountabilities:
• Support the financial reporting, analytics and financial planning activities of Swiss Re's service companies. The financial insights you develop will ensure accurate reporting and secure the financial strength and proper liquidity of the entities.
• Manage and drive all deliverables related to the Board of Directors (BoD) of Swiss Re Management Ltd, which is an ultimate parent of five Swiss Re's service company entities located across the globe The information and insight you provide to the BoD will enable the execution of their legal duties.
• Manage all processes related to the intercompany cost allocations for the Business Segment Group Items. You will interact with various functions across Swiss Re, including Group Tax and Group Cost Management, to ensure the quality and consistency of service allocations.
• Drive the execution of projects. These will have a variety of scopes – some with a more local impact and others at the Group level. Your organisation talent and strong interaction across the Swiss Re organisation will ensure deliverables are met on-time and within the expected level of quality.
• Continuously assess the tools and processes within your area of responsibility and drive improvements to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
• Support the Department Head in the execution of Divisional duties, such as preparing for Townhalls, Executive Team meetings and offsites.
• Support the Department Head and CFO Group Operations on ad-hoc tasks as these arise.

About You

To be successful in this role, the following position requirements are critical:
• University degree, preferably in Finance, Economics or related areas.
• Minimum of five years of direct work experience in a Finance role, preferably with audit experience within the financial services sector.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical skills with strong problem-solving capabilities.
• First-hand experience in using technology to analyse data, derive conclusions and make recommendations.
• Speak and write English fluently.
• Strengths include ability to work on your own initiative and enforce deadlines.
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) skills.
