Job description, responsibilities and duties

This role focuses on the administration, maintenance and reconciliation of internally developed cost reporting platforms. You will deliver transparency on direct and indirect costs of the entire Swiss Re Group to legal entities, Cost Centre owners and Divisional Cost Controllers. Core task is reconciliation ownership of costs out of the local accounting systems with the Group's cost reporting tools on a monthly basis. You will be responsible for running regular cost reports for Business unit and Divisions. Main responsibilities:

• Month end closing process – analytical reconciliation of cost from local accounting system (SAP/BIS/Oracle) with Group reporting management tools (Reveal/SR DEX) and other closing activities
• Tools maintenance – business ownership and Master data management
• Global Accrual process ownership – coordination of the monthly booking of cost accruals to the local ledgers
• Cost centre management– responsibility for cost centre changes within in-house system (SADB)
• Ad-hoc analysis and reporting for business customers, especially controlling and reconciliation
• Participation on major finance transformation projects or initiatives at Swiss Re

About the team
You will join an ambitious Group Cost Operations team that runs and executes cost management across Swiss Re. Candidate gets the opportunity to work with partners across the global finance community, making sure that reliable information is made available in the internal cost reporting tools. This capability provides Swiss Re Divisions with transparency on their cost base and helps them streamline the value chain using a common service management framework. Team operates the management and accounting platform, facilitates the processes and drives ongoing development of Group cost controlling at Swiss Re!

Requirements for the employee

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)
