About the Role

This is your chance to lead a team of strong financial professionals. You will get the opportunity to build and develop your team and optimize our processes.
You will also contribute to the Carrier Hub team's mandate in the preparation, analysis and reporting of financial information of the legal entity for economic valuations and balance sheet management.

Main tasks:

Leadership activities:
- Supervise and develop the Solvency II and Balance sheet management team
- Build strong relationship between Bratislava team and other locations, facilitate communication between the business partners and the team
- Set up an optimal team organization, focus on knowledge acquisition, team stability and performance
- Develop the team by engaging, motivating, providing regular open feedbacks and building trusty relationship

Technical activities:
- Support the team in quarterly and annual close of Solvency II and EVM financial statements
- Provide comprehensive financial and variance analysis and business commentaries with respect to reporting, monitoring and reconciliation activities
- Help the team on the overall financial and balance sheet management, balance sheet optimization and capital and dividend proposals
- Perform tasks relating to steering capital, Intra-group retrocessions, liquidity and risk mitigation decisions in close collaboration with the relevant business unit and group functions
- Support on financial and retrocession planning and monitoring and related activities as well as quarterly and annual performance monitoring, analysis and reporting against the plans
- Contribute to and improve processes and systems to ensure compliance with the risk and control framework and audit requirements, and also to meet internal management expectations

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)

Postgraduate (Doctorate)

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

About you

- University degree, preferably in finance/accounting/economics and with a minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience, audit experience would be an advantage
- Experienced team leader with people leadership skills
- Knowledge and experience in the preparation of complex financial statements, ideally in the financial industry
- Experience in financial reporting focused on timely delivery and high quality of output
- Experience in US-GAAP/IFRS and Solvency II desirable
- Experience in Balance sheet and Capital management desirable
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel and Power Point, knowledge of SAP would be advantage
- Excellent command of the English language
- Strong analytical skills and holistic approach and ability to work with complex details and apply good business judgement and deliver high-quality output independently
- Ability to make decisions within the parameters of the role and to explain the business rationale behind
Intercultural competencies and the ability to understand complex processes. Keen to learn and quickly and efficiently adapt to changes
