About the Role
The Corporate Solutions Branch Controlling Team supports legal entity and branch accounting, controlling and reporting activities. Further, we ensure compliance with the risk and control framework and audit requirements.

Each team member is responsible for 3-5 assigned branches, and has a complex financial overview about them. We are searching for a new colleague to become a part of our team.

Main tasks
• Ownership and active management of the branch from a finance perspective. A high degree of autonomy is expected for this position
• Exposure to senior leadership
• Preparation and presentation of quarterly results to senior management, including providing of comprehensive financial and variance analysis and business commentaries
• Preparation of qualitative reporting for internal clients as well as reporting to regulatory bodies on local accounting standards
• Closing activities on a quarterly basis for assigned branches including accounting tasks, controlling and reporting activities
• Contact person for internal and external auditors
• Contribute to improve processes and systems to ensure compliance with the risk and control framework and audit requirements, and also to meet internal management expectations
• Establish a network and closely collaborate with the respective professionals across the organization
• This position includes approximately 20 % accounting tasks, the remaining portion is focused towards reporting, controlling and financial analysis

About the Team
The Corporate Solutions Branch Controlling Team is responsible for supporting branches of Swiss Re with accounting, controlling, reporting, and financial analysis. Each team member has a complex financial overview of their assigned branches. We cooperate with Finance managers, Branch managers, Tax department and Auditors.

About You
• Minimum four years of work experience in accounting/financial reporting
• University degree or qualification in Finance
• Understanding of financial reporting processes, risk and controls
• Proven PC skills, including MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Power Query and Power BI is an advantage
• Analytical thinking
• Solution-seeker
• Team player with good communication and presentation skills
• Fluent English and German written and spoken
