Job description, responsibilities and duties

The Digital Workplace & Innovation Consultant will play a central role on introducing the Digital Workplace solutions in Swiss Re, being involved in the developing process of the solutions, capturing requirements from the local and regional business units, orchestrating the activities between the different teams involved and supporting the rollout and adoption of the services, consulting the business whenever it is necessary.

The candidate will provide thought leadership and expertise on best practices for Digital Workplace related solutions and have a thorough understanding of enterprise application integration involving Digital Workplace, Communication and Collaboration technologies. The role will focus largely on exploring innovative and creative ways to solve business problems through rigorous prototyping and testing.

This role requires a proven technical skill set as well as business analyst and consulting skills that have been demonstrated in leading or participating in larger scale Digital Workplace implementation programs, with the use of Microsoft Office 365 technologies.

Main duties:
- Providing business consulting expertise, analyzing the use and adoption of the Digital Workplace solutions, supporting their integration into the business processes and applications and helping the business to successfully adopt the new services
- Helping to build the strategy for the Innovation Stream within Workplace Consulting & Innovation
- Lead hackathons and Design Thinking workshops to develop tangible solutions to key business problems
- Acting as a conduit to the product squads, ensuring that key gaps in user experience is addressed and prioritized
- Identifying use cases that need to be explored based on the requirements collected from the business users and developing and testing solutions that address business needs
- Working closely with multiple teams in the area of Field Services, Event Management, and with internal initiatives focused on the development of the future physical and virtual employee workspace
- Identifying trends and opportunities in the industry and building prototypes that can derive future business value

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

- End-to-end understanding of Digital Workplace technologies and solutions, including endpoints, messaging, document management, unified communications, enterprise social, data analytics and business automation.
- Specific understanding of the Virtual Reality/ Mixed Reality field is preferred
- Senior Office 365 subject matter expert, having experience on the different services and solutions provided in the Microsoft ecosystem and similar third part tools
- Business Analyst expertise, developing technical solutions to business problems, understanding business needs, and defining, analyzing and documenting requirements and assisting the business to adopt our services so they generate real business impact and value
- Experience in Design Thinking methodologies
- Experience in running hackathons with developers and stakeholders to quickly prototype and test solutions
- Experience in building innovation labs and collaboration centers is preferred
- Experience in working in an Agile SCRUM environment
- An inquisitive and creative mind with a 'Can Do' attitude
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including listening skills, presentation skills and communication skills at all levels
