About the Role

As a software engineer at iptiQ you will be collaborating with a team of engineers, business analysts, and onboarding managers in a multicultural environment to deliver the front-end part of the journeys we build for our clients. You will work in a fast-paced environment with a quickly growing young domain. As we are embracing new technologies, you will have the opportunity to shape our future setup to a great extent together with our architects. In your role you will:
- Help build up and use iptiQ's platform to implement & adapt functional requirements.
- Build and document solution designs and code according to agreement with the team and development standards.
- Provide Level 3 support including fixing bugs and defects as well as resolving technical issues experienced by users.
- Collaborate within an agile team setup and continuously gain technology knowhow to help you excel.
- Evaluate requests for functional requirements and provide effort estimates.
- Represent iptiQ's development team in technical meetings with partners and provide technical advice in your area both to colleagues within iptiQ and to our partners' development teams.
- Use technologies such as React, Redux, JSS, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, GraphQL, BFF.

Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

About You

Qualified applicants will have the following:
- Minimum 1 years of experience working in agile digital product development environment, e.g. web applications, software applications, etc.
- Minimum 1 years of practical experience in JavaScript, React & Redux.
- Understanding of styling principles, experience with either SCSS, JSS or styled components.
- Familiar with microservice architecture concepts.
- Knowledge of unit testing frameworks like Enzym & Jest.
- Comfortable communicating verbally and in writing in English (English is the main communication language for this role)
- Open-minded and excited to be part of a cross-functional, multicultural team.
- High degree of flexibility, independent and proactive working style.
- Ability to work on different initiatives based on given priorities.

Nice to haves:
- Experience in all application tiers - user interface, client / server integrations, also experience with GitLab, CI/CD pipeline such as docker, Kubernetes.
- Experience working with Node.js.
- University degree in computer science, engineering, information technology or similar.
- Experience working with insurance, banking or finance related sectors is a plus, however, we are ready to share our insurance knowhow and onboard new joiners quickly.
- Willingness to travel for company events.
