About the role
You will lead a team of finance professionals that administers the process and governance, stakeholder coordination, tools and change management related to global cost allocations at Swiss Re. This includes both the preparation of management views of costs across the company´s business segments and the execution of intercompany recharges across our legal entities globally. Having the ability to drive a newly integrated set of global processes and stakeholders related to costs – on a newly rolled-out platform (Service Cost Accounting using SAP technology) – is crucial.
You will report to the Head of Group Cost Management and will necessitate sophisticated interactions with leaders in the Finance, IT, Operations, Legal and Global Outsourcing communities who are involved in the recharges and allocation of administrative costs. A nuanced understanding of Swiss Re's cost allocation model from a financial and conceptual standpoint will be required very rapidly.
Key activities include:
Central custody of all data related to cost and intercompany recharges, including all master data (both self-generated and interfaced), allocation keys and drivers, and cost bases
Process management and coordination of change management for allocations and recharges, including steering the approval process
Coordination and facilitation of the cost governance bodies, including regular operational alignment and execution, as well a Change Advisory Board for large-scale future release management and development
Oversight of intercompany service agreement management including agreement inception, change management and associated workflows involving all key finance, legal and operations partners
Robust process documentation and risk control framework covering all elements of the integrated solution (Business Segment/Management Unit results and legal entity bookings/recharges), including interaction with operational risk management and internal/external audit
Ensuring delivery of accurate and timely intra-group service recharges for quarterly accounting submissions, as well as for full-year projections and the annual financial plan. Oversee and lead preparation of ad hoc reporting and financial analysis including simulation runs
Drive the cost allocation process into the next level or automation and digitalization as part of the overall Finance Group Operations (FGO)tech deliverables
This role also involves regular communication with the cost planning, reporting and assurance teams in FGO; coordination with divisional cost controllers across all Business Divisions and Group Functions; and regular dialogue with individuals in non-technical accounting, indirect tax, transfer pricing, legal and global outsourcing. Finally, the ability to condense complex model implications into concrete financial outcomes will be key for your regular interactions with the Group Operations CFO.

Basic wage component (gross) and other rewards
