About the role

We are looking for a curious individual who puts the user first and knows how to translate user needs and insights into meaningful, intuitive and easy to use solutions. You are eager to constantly learn and adapt to new things.

Your responsibilities:

- You will be in charge of user interaction, interface and experience design. You will play an important role in defining and developing creative, impactful and meaningful user experiences on mobile and web applications.
- You will align user needs and insights with business requirements and translate it into functional design specifications.
- You will build, design and maintain materials needed to support your design and usability decisions, e.g. user journeys, user flows, storyboards, sketches, wireframes, test scripts and reports.
- You will collaborate with Customer Experience Managers to plan and execute user research, e.g. design and conduct surveys for qualitative customer feedback. Work with Customer Analytics Experts to review and analyse user behavior and patterns.
- You will build up a central UX expertise within CEDD and coach your colleagues, especially digital content editors, customer relation managers as well as self-service solution specialists with regards to Swiss Re guidelines, requirements and best practices.
- You will have an ability to simplify complex processes into clear, intuitive, and easy to use interactions

About the team

Customer Experience and Digital Delivery (CEDD) is mandated to craft and improve customer experience and lead the digital transformation within Group Operations and Group Functions, across divisions, services and touchpoints – beyond traditional silos. In addition, the unit delivers managed customer care services on behalf of Group Operations divisions through multiple channels and acts as a single point of contact for customers through ContactOne (central portal and service desk) for all Group Operations services.

You will be part of the Customer Experience & Analytics team, a young and dynamic team, which is on the exciting journey to build up and act as a center of expertise to design and manage customer experience across Group Operations. We generate customer insights to identify customer needs and reflect these by appropriate solution design and improvement measures that improve our internal customers' happiness. The team plays an active role in building and crafting customer communities and ensures smooth customer communications via various channels. The team extensively collaborates with other units within CEDD (e.g. Solution Design & Delivery or Solution Operations), our partners divisions and our internal customers.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

About you

- You have a passion for creating beautiful and functional digital experiences
- You have at least 2-3 years working experience as a UI/UX designer
- You have excellent visual and UI/UX design skills
- You are a convincing advocate and a role model for user and customer centricity
- You are a Self-starter with a strong solution-oriented mindset
- You have an experience in coordinating design processes across multiple projects
- You love people! Having an outgoing personality, you genuinely like to co-create with your colleagues, stakeholders and customers
- You are a great team player, able to find consensus in a team and at the same time proactively assume responsibility
- You possess excellent written and spoken communication skills in English
