About the Role
We are looking for an Enterprise Architect to join our newly formed Enterprise Architecture team in Bratislava. You will be responsible for delivering high quality enterprise architecture services to senior management, all business and IT units as well as to major projects and key strategic initiatives.
This role provides an excellent opportunity to actively work in a cross-functional, global, and dynamic environment with colleagues across Business Functions and Information Technology, and to apply end-to-end architecture development frameworks and consulting methodologies. You will execute and support enterprise-wide and cross-functional process architecture improvements while maintaining the long-term view to meet customer requirements and key business objectives.

Responsibilities and Expectations:
• You understand the business and IT strategies as well as the evolving business needs with regards to technology capabilities
• You are responsible for the internal communication for Enterprise Architecture topics and will be maintaining the internal Enterprise Architecture website (main communication channel)
• You support the facilitation of management boards and decision bodies to implement the Group enterprise architecture
• You build and sustain strong connections with project teams by taking on key roles within the projects and positioning the team and its value proposition
• You support the Enterprise Architecture team in creating cross-functional view on ongoing IT initiatives and ensure cross-functional alignment among different architectural layers respectively
• You thrive while working under pressure in a complex environment and you are able to think in the big picture to identify and prioritize focus areas
• You are curious to learn new things and change excites you

About the Team
We in Enterprise Architecture design and drive a coherent enterprise by ensuring architecture is aligned with Swiss Re's strategy and operating model. We cover all architectural layers and use different perspectives to design a coherent enterprise architecture.

We translate strategy into architecture and drive the transformation end-to-end being involved in key initiatives and projects of high strategic relevance. To do so, we provide a broad range of architecture services including:
• Business Process and Capability Architecture
• Information Architecture
• Application Architecture
• Governance Design and Mentorship
• Solution Architecture

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

Qualification and Experiences:
• Bachelor's degree or higher in information management, computer science, economics or similar field of study
• Work experience as an Enterprise Architect, Consultant, Business Analyst or similar qualifications
• Project management or PMO experience

Personal Characteristics and Skills:
• Ability to communicate and facilitate meetings on senior management level
• Strong visualization and communication skills to introduce and explain complex coherences to different communities (MS Office, PowerPoint, Visio and SharePoint)
• Know-how of standard PM tools, such as project plan, stakeholder map, communication plan, workshop planning, issue tracking
• Business analysis skills and the ability of high-level abstraction, fast understanding, and conceptual thinking
• Basic knowledge in process modelling and design
• The ability to develop an environment of collaboration in which people share information and communicate clearly, candidly, and openly
• Dedication to team work and strong accountability and delivery skills
• (Re-)insurance business understanding is a plus

Language requirements:
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English, further languages are an asset
