About the Role

You will join the IT Controlling Operations team which supports the Financial Management of the Division IT. By managing the financials in all aspects in the assigned area of responsibility you will support the steering of the business units from an IT divisional cost management perspective. The IT Controlling Operations Unit is crucial for the financial target achievements for Division IT.

In this role you will work closely with cost center owners and various other stakeholders from finance related functions, will support with analyses and with standard and ad hoc cost reporting. Furthermore you will also be involved in the further development of the IT Business Management (ITBM) tool suite through testing of new features and training and knowledge sharing with others.

Main responsibilities
•Conduct the financial planning, controlling and forecasting process for the assigned portfolio in close cooperation with the cost center owners and the responsible IT Business Partner
•Prepare quarterly cost plans, projections and accruals as requested by Finance
•Support the purchasing process including creation of purchase order, controlling of invoices and budget positions
•Assist in providing management reports, cost projections and execution of ad hoc reconciliations and analyses
•Foster relationship with our clients and be the liaison between ITBM and other finance related areas like Payables, Sourcing Support and local Finance teams
•Support actively the further development and testing of the ITBM tool suite
•Sharing of knowledge with colleagues on reporting and using the ITBM tool suite

About the Team

The IT Controlling Operations team consists of 6 colleagues including yourself, located in Bratislava and is an integral part of the IT Business Management unit of 22 colleagues based in Bratislava, Zurich, US and UK. We are part of the division IT, which in total has 1'200 colleagues located worldwide. Due to the expansion of the scope of tasks for the team, we are looking for an additional colleague to join us.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Personality requirements and skills

•University degree, preferable in a finance related field
•Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
•Fluency in written and spoken English
•Excellent MS Excel, and other Microsoft Office suite programs
•Familiarity with accounting terminology
•Strong analytical skills and affinity for numbers
•Experienced in planning, prioritizing and administrating work
•Ability to achieve precision alongside managing multiple topics under time pressure
•Ability to assess, understand and manage complex dependencies
•Being a team player
•Ability to convey complicated information in a structured way
•Willingness to go the extra mile for our clients
•Interest in or affinity with the IT business
•Eagerness for innovation and efficiency
