About the role

As Senior Auditor in the IT Audit team you have the responsibility for leading and participating in IT audit activities in order to deliver assurance over the related Risk- and Control Framework. You will be constantly challenged to learn new areas of Swiss Re, to assess the effectiveness of the relevant processes, and to come up with workable solutions to any problems you may identify. Unlike most other jobs, you will get the opportunity to meet many people across the organization, including senior executives.
Your key tasks are to assess the effectiveness of the relevant technology processes and controls in scope of an audit, and to provide professional reports and unique business insights to Senior Management and the Audit Committees. You are responsible for planning and executing all relevant milestones of an audit, for interacting and cooperating with stakeholders and for leading and coaching the audit team. Further, you are expected to support the Senior Audit Manager IT in performing risk assessment and planning, managing administrative and reporting tasks, and to participate in GIA's initiatives and projects as appropriate.

The opportunity
• Participate in audits in accordance to GIA Methodology
• Identify key risks and controls and contribute to the determination of the particular audit scope
• Develop the audit test program and conduct appropriate fieldwork testing
• Negotiate management actions to mitigate identified operational risks
• Document all testing and findings, and draft audit reports
• When In-Charge act as the primary contact for auditee management during execution and finalization of an audit, and deliver audits in line with professional standards
• Support GIA’s annual risk assessment and audit planning
• Represent your area and GIA on the basis of your focus area, and develop & maintain relationships with IT management

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

About you

Education and Experience
• Strong technical understanding of IT control processes and technology risks, including IT infrastructure and application controls
• University degree in related field (preferred)
• 3 - 5 years of work experience in IT audit, information security, or in a controls oriented IT development/operations role
• CISA, CISSP, CIA or equivalent information security experience (preferred)

Personal skills
• Critical thinker that sees the "big picture" (e.g. overall themes, trends, goals), generates creative ideas and solutions to problems and makes recommendations despite complexity, conflicting pressures and ambiguous circumstances.
• Result oriented individual, able to plan well, willing to coach and work in the field and able to deliver results in time
• Professional communicator, able to gain and maintain trust while delivering difficult messages
• Structured analyst, capable to adopt and use data analytics to assess risks, scope audits and test controls
• Team worker, able to listen to others but also influence
• Fluency in English
• Willingness to travel internationally (up to 40%)
