About the Role

In this client facing position you would be responsible for:
- Support originating sales (including face to face interactions) with responsibility for developing and handling the relationship and client strategy with assigned client(s).
Preparing reinsurance proposals, working closely with other departments like underwriting, claims and Products' actuaries in order to facilitate the resolution of potential business issues.
- Advising assigned clients on the full spectrum of Swiss Re products and differentiating solutions to meet their strategic growth aspirations and Swiss Re’s business objectives.
- Handling all aspects of the client relationships and taking responsibility for respective technical and financial results including planning and budgeting while coordinating cross functional resources.
- Being responsible for the quote process, running the costing for quotes within your authority; this includes CPT runs, documentation and Quote Tracker handling as appropriate
- Using client knowledge to identify, investigate, and resolve issues with business that is believed to be performing other than originally expected.
- Ensuring application of guidelines and clean governance by coordinating and submitting eboard referrals as needed, contributing to OTRs, planning exercise and quarterly volume reviews.

In a nutshell, the position is responsible for gaining and applying the knowledge necessary to build and price winning solutions that exceed client expectations and set Swiss Re apart from our competitors.

About the Team

We are building a new team of client managers in Bratislava. Together with the experienced team in Munich we will strengthen our market presence in CEE.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

About You

- Commercial mindset and passion to interact with clients.
- A detailed knowledge of actuarial concepts and principles, such as that obtained by:
1. Ideally being a fellow of an actuarial association.
2. Having a master's degree and at least 3 years of related experience.
- Proven financial skills and analytical ability.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to present technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Able to make important decisions.
- Sound understanding of reinsurance and high-level understanding of life & health products (like term life, disability and critical illness)
- 2 to 3 years of experience in an (re-)insurance position (actuarial or commercial).
- Knowledge of any CEE language is an advantage
- Must be a self-starter who is able to work independently and creatively.
- Results focused and ambitious.
- Entrepreneurial and innovative.
