About the Role:

• This is a maternity cover role in which you will become a member of Asset Management (AM IT) Investment Accounting squad in Bratislava.
• You will develop a keen understanding of various aspects of FAH, the implementation and its place in AM IT application landscape.
• In this role you collaborate closely with Investment Reporting team to get to know their work and processes.
• You get to understand the Economic Value Measurement model and its implementation in FAH.
• You will communicate with the clients (Investment Reporting, various AM teams) and help them prioritize their requirements.
• You will provide support to the business users in their work with the system, analyze root causes of reported issues and create change requests.
• Your role is to design business / technical specifications for changes requested by our technical teams or our users.
• You will collaborate with developers to successfully implement the proposed changes.

About the Team:
Swiss Re Group is a global leader in the insurance industry with more than 150 years of history. Our unit, Asset Management IT, is focused on delivering IT services for Group Asset Management, which handles Swiss Re's investments.

The main role of our AM IT Investment Accounting squad is to develop and maintain the Finance Accounting Hub (FAH) application and provide business analysis and technical support for the Finance Reinsurance Investment Reporting team.

AM IT has introduced an agile operating model with a unique shared leadership concept, allowing our colleagues to become leaders from content, process or people perspective. We are using agile methodologies Scrum and Kanban, to deliver improvements to our clients focusing on high value and speed.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Other knowledge

Microsoft Excel - advanced

Personality requirements and skills

About You:

Do you possess strong analytical and problem solving skills?
Do you have experience and knowledge in finance, accounting or financial markets area?
Have you worked OR do you want to work as an IT business analyst?

Other requirements:
• You have a bachelor's degree in technical or finance field
• Experience form finance area is an asset, e.g. basic knowledge of accounting standards (US GAAP, statutory, EVM), financial markets, etc.
• Very good oral and written English
• High level of abstraction, fast understanding and conceptual thinking
• Excellent teammate able to deliver high performance when working in the team but also when working independently
• Understanding of the key aspects of the application lifecycle such as planning, design, implementing, testing and releasing new versions
• Good knowledge of MS Office and ideally SQL
• Diligent and accurate working style
• Flexible and open for new tasks with mind set for continuous learning
