Job description, responsibilities and duties

The Head Executive Office Corporate Solutions is looking for a pro-active and motivated individual to join the team to support the CFO Corporate Solutions in managing the global division. The DOO Finance Corporate Solutions contributes and coordinates the development of the divisional strategic direction together with the CFO and the Finance Corporate Solutions Management team (MT) and drives execution, optimise the inter-departmental relationships and communication.

The core responsibilities include:
• Support the CFO Corporate Solutions in managing the global division
• Drive divisional operations and business management topics for Finance
• Line Management of functional support leaders based in Bratislava together with DOO Operations
• Support and execution of Finance strategy, goals and priorities, translating them into operations plans
• Support the CFO and MT in strategic, project and managerial tasks & documentation
• Shape the global organisation and monitor strategic initiatives for the division (HR & Change Management, Communication etc.)
• Drive the agenda and reporting of the MT, monitoring the relevant actions
• Drive internal communication strategy and information flows within and beyond Finance Corporate Solutions
• Coordinate activities and priorities across the Finance Corporate Solutions departments
• Manages the development of the division (Foster talent, upgrade teams, long-term development plans, training, rotations, assignments and reorganisations
• Oversight over KPIs, divisional cost and FTE topics and drive the stakeholder management and Service & Quality Management initiatives
• Manage the resourcing of the organisation (FTEs, Recruiting, Location planning etc.)
• Coordinate and facilitate ad-hoc requests related to presentations & events
• Ensure compliance with relevant guidelines and hands-on support for a broad range of ‘running the division tasks (e.g. hiring, international assignments)
• Lead and support special projects and initiatives

Decides and acts with a high degree of autonomy in practice areas within the delegated authorities.

Relationship Management and Other
• Acts as advisor to the CFO Corporate Solutions
• Become permanent guest of Finance Corporate Solutions Management team
• Represents Corporate Solutions at Swiss Re Bratislava's Extended Leadership Team
• Liaises and works in close cooperation with relevant stakeholders (Corporate Development, Operations, HR, Group CFO Office, DOOs, CorFiT etc.)
• Act as sounding board for/to the Finance Corporate Solutions Management team
• Ensures high degree of information sharing without jeopardizing confidentiality
• Delivers complex messages in a clear and synthesized manner

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

• Sophisticated user of MS Office products

Personal characteristics
• Experience in reinsurance/insurance is considered an asset
• Analytical and methodical work-style combined with good business judgement and high-quality output
• Ability to influence and convince others
• Ability to work under pressure, able to retain information, flexible, creative, persistent and assertive
• Client oriented & analytical personality who is able to prioritize tasks in order to meet multiple deadlines as well as proven networking skills

• Demonstrated expertise as a change agent, both culturally and functionally
• Team player, superior interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in English a must, proficiency in other languages desirable

Professional Experience and Education
• Higher level of education – graduate degree (Master's or MBA) preferred – Finance or Economic focus
• Minimum 5 – 7 years of relevant experience and 10 years professional experience in the financial services industry
