About the role
You will be the IT Test Manager within iptiQ EMEA Technology Development Department.
This is a rare opportunity to join a new business unit within an established company; combining the dynamic spirit of a startup with the backing of Swiss Re's strong organisation.
As Test Manager, you will own and lead the test strategy and the testing process from the point that all of the systems are integrated (direct to customer portal / back end integration / underwriting engine). This will be the day to day management of the internal functional test team including peer review of their output; test management and support for internal business testing; test management and support for distribution partner testing (new and existing); defect management and test reporting to various audiences. You will ensure that the testing conforms to the goals set for the programme and is undertaken using agreed testing methodologies. We are looking forward to working with you as our single point of contact for all things testing on the programme.
You will report directly to the Head Program Delivery of iptiQ EMEA.

Key accountabilities:
• Day to day management of the test team
• Test Strategy ownership
• Quality Gate governance
• Defect Management and triage
• Test resource planning
• Test project planning
• Deliver to time, cost and quality consistently across multiple projects in parallel
• Production of meaningful metrics during test execution windows
• Ownership of test dependencies, risks and issues.

iptiQ is a unit within the newly built Swiss Re Life Capital; established to deliver white-label life insurance solutions to be sold through partners, directly to consumers. We are a young, motivated and technology driven team, organised to provide creative solutions for life insurance distributors across Europe that engage with consumers in non-traditional ways. Through our strong operational infrastructure, creative thinking, insurance know-how and ecommerce competences we want to drive the digitalization of the life insurance business in Europe.

Requirements for the employee

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Personality requirements and skills

• Test Management experience on large scale programme(s)
• Stakeholder Management - Engage and communicate with senior leaders being able to call out and articulate critical risks to director level as required
• Defect Management & Triage
• Insurance experience, ideally primary life insurance
• Experience in portal testing
• Browser testing (including mobile technologies)
• Testing of 3rd party integrations
• Functional test artefact preparation from business requirements (Creation of test scenarios, test cases, test scripts)
• Test execution
• Understanding of test automation
• You are fluent in English
