About The Team
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Reinsurance EMEA Compliance team with team members located in UK, Slovakia, Switzerland, and South Africa. We provide end-to-end guidance on key Compliance risks including AML, ITC, Anti-Bribery & Corruption, Anti-Fraud and others relating to Swiss Re Group's Reinsurance business. Our clients are diverse and driven business teams, committed to delivering value and innovative services. In our team, you will learn about the Compliance risks facing an international re/insurance business.

About The Role
In this role, you will support the Head Compliance Reinsurance EMEA in the identification, management and control of Compliance risks and the execution of the Compliance Organisation’s responsibilities defined by the Swiss Re Compliance Charter and in accordance with all existing regulations, standards and applicable laws.

You will have the opportunity to support all aspects of the team's mandate, drive content development and interact with many Compliance team members and business colleagues. You will also provide support to Group and Compliance team initiatives and projects, as required. In this capacity you will:
- Provide enabling guidance mainly to the Underwriters in the EMEA region by assessing their business cases and answering their questions on compliance topics
- Support and advise on compliance matters & incidents with the support of Legal team
- Support development of the Compliance Programme and policies, guidelines, training and communication
- Conduct research in respect of and contribute to regular compliance risk assessments
- Design and conduct training on compliance matters in the EMEA region
- Support oversight and provide assurance to Management through performance of assurance activities
- Monitor regulatory developments relating to compliance issues for reinsurance companies in EMEA.
- Support the Financial Crime Screening (FCS) in following areas:
- act on the screening results escalated to Compliance in respect of anti-money laundering (AML) and international trade controls (ITC)
- provide reports and data on the screening carried out
- respond to requests relating to the screening process
- support project work and other initiatives involving the screening process.

Minimum base salary for this job from 1500 EUR gross/month/full time. About You
We are looking for you if you:
- display a "can do" mindset, are dedicated and put the client first
- have deep interest in gaining Compliance experience and form the Compliance department at Swiss Re
- analytical and investigative mindset is a plus,
- have ideally gained 1-2 years professional work experience in a Compliance or Legal role, ideally in a company from the financial industry,
- are proficient in MS Office products such as Excel, Word, Power Point and familiar with Excel functionalities such as Pivot tables and Vlookup or are willing to learn them
- speak/write Slovak and English fluently (other languages are a plus)
- enjoy working independently and handling multiple requests and deadlines
- feel comfortable working in a changing environment and are able to deal with ambiguity
- are committed to providing high-quality end products, also in short time frames
- communicate and listen well to senior leadership, internal clients and colleagues
- display a high degree of integrity, are discreet and able to handle confidential information
- are full of enthusiasm and desire to learn.
