Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

The primary focus of this role is to provide professional, strategic and operational business and team management support to the iptiQ EMEA L&H Chief Technology & Operations Officer and team.

Main tasks/activities:
1. Liaise with CTOO and his direct reports to support smooth and efficient management of the iptiQ EMEA L&H CTOO team and execution of agreed priorities;
2. Active involvement in various business activities, including confidential work and liaising when necessary with employees and clients involved in such activities on the CTOO's behalf, as required;
3. Develop business recommendations, document them in briefing papers, reports and PowerPoint presentations and communicate in the appropriate audience (e.g., CTOO Management Team, Steering Committees and ET)
4. Organize events and workshops as well as Townhalls and coordinate CTOO preparation for other meetings
5. Proactively identify ways to improve team engagement and culture across CTOO and iptiQ
6. Lead and guide the team assistant and during the absence of the team assistant, proactively manage diary, emails, arrange travel programmes, including planning, expenses, itineraries, etc;
7. Travel to Swiss Re locations as required (max 20%, typically less)

iptiQ EMEA L&H is part of Swiss Re's Life Capital division which manages all our life & health primary insurance portfolios across Europe. iptiQ is a start-up, established to deliver innovative protection solutions sold to consumers through Distribution Partners. Our team delivers the coordination, infrastructure and capabilities key to driving forward this new business, while working closely with the rest of the Swiss Re Group.

We have established a large team in Bratislava as one of our key locations. iptiQ is a Luxembourg based insurer with operations in UK, Ireland, Germany, Netherlands, Spain and France. iptiQ's CTOO team supports the delivery of iptiQ's growth for these locations and other countries across Europe. We are looking for a strategic and creative self-starter to be part of this team with specific responsibility to drive execution within the iptiQ Chief Technology & Operations Officer.

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Microsoft Excel - advanced

Personality requirements and skills

1. English is iptiQ's business language and therefore high command of the language with a clear and articulated standard of written and verbal communication is a must-have. Additional European language skills would be a plus;
2. Experience of providing support to Senior Management from a team & business coordination aspects;
3. Experience of developing and implementing structures, frameworks and tools to better manage and coordinate a growing team as well as strong inter-personal skills to make it happen;
4. Self-motivated, eager to learn, happy working independently, highly organized and efficient, setting adequate priorities
5. You are able to collaborate strongly and actively with other team members as required especially in a virtual environment across multiple locations and cultures
6. Ability to handle confidential information appropriately, to cope effectively with multi-task work situations as well as to work independently and to work under pressure
7. You are committed to quality, attention to detail and are solution oriented; persistent and thorough
8. You are proficient in MS Office, particularly Outlook, PowerPoint and advanced Excel is important
9. You hold a Bachelor or Master in Economics, Social sciences, International relationships, Politics, Engineering or related field
10. You have broad extracurricular interests
