About the role
Group Tax IT is looking for an experienced business analyst who will be driving the IT project and operations work in our team from a business analysis perspective.

You will lead the business analysis and are working very closely with Group Tax business users to understand and capture their business requirements. Furthermore, you define concepts and ideas for the to-be process that ensure processes are automated in a sustainable and efficient fashion. The responsibilities also include the change management, coordination of development teams, and partners/vendors to ensure planned solution execution, and project management for individual work streams. Beside the project tasks you are also responsible to maintain diverse Tax application

Main responsibilities:
• Business analysis, requirements specification, and implementation of to-be processes, data models as a key member of the team
• Support the definition and implementation of the future Tax application landscape and its integration with downstream/upstream systems
• Work closely with the business and system engineers to ensure correct understanding, modelling, and implementation of business requirements
• Plan and execute change management activities including testing and user trainings
• Business & technical end user consulting; monitoring, maintenance, 2nd level user support of productive processes
• Be available for our finance business partners during the quarterly and annual submission cycles for any kind of user requests
• Communicate with our global user community
• Maintenance of diverse Tax applications

About the team
Group Tax IT is a new unit within Finance IT with people in our offices in Zurich, Bratislava, and Munich. The international team is responsible for all Tax IT applications of Swiss Re be it off-the-shelf or custom built and their integration. In different major projects we transform with Group Tax key business areas using state of the art technologies to achieve the desired process automation and digitization.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

• University degree in the area of computer science/business information systems or similar education
• Experience in business analysis methodologies and business processes automation
• Experience with Longview Tax and/or Microsoft Business Intelligence as two major building blocks in our architecture is an advantage
• Experience in the financial accounting or corporate taxes domain is a big plus
• Experience in solution architecture and development or project management with agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban) is a plus
• 5+ years of experience in a related field
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• High level of abstraction, fast understanding and conceptual thinking
• Effective communication and presentation skills
• Able to deliver quality output under tight deadlines
• Energetic, prepared to assist where required
• Team oriented and able to share knowledge combined with sound decision-making skills
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English
