Job description, responsibilities and duties

The "Actuarial Systems P&C" team consists of business analysts and application engineers and is responsible for all finance applications related to reserving and actuarial analysis of P&C business. Our main customer is the actuarial community within the company, which is located globally.

In a team of business analysts and application engineers you will be responsible for the business analysis within the field of reserving and actuarial analysis P&C. The main focus will be the analysis, specification and testing of new or enhanced functionalities and operation support of the systems in place. You will be involved in all steps of the software process and individually work on assigned project tasks.

Your job will include :
•Gather and analyse the requirements for the new solution in close cooperation with business experts and application engineers
•Translate requirements into system specifications, covering all aspects of the new solution (functional/non-functional requirements, process and/or data models, …)
•Work closely with the application engineers in the implementation phase and ensure correct understanding and implementation of business requirements
•Perform and document tests
•Document the solution, both for internal and external use (user manual)
•Plan and steer rollouts including user trainings
•Monitor, maintain, and perform user support of productive systems
•Manage assigned subprojects in the above-mentioned fields independently
•Communicate with (international) user community and decision makers

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Personality requirements and skills

University degree (or similar) in:
- Business Administration or Economics with good mathematical understanding, or
- Mathematics or Natural Sciences with good business understanding
•Alternatively higher professional education (information management or similar)
•Strong analytical skills
•Good communication skills
•Readiness for close teamwork
•English is a must, German a plus
•Knowledge in MS Office, Excel above all
•SQL is an advantage
•Experience in insurance/reinsurance, actuarial or IT project work would be an asset
