Job description, responsibilities and duties

In our Finance community, you will have the opportunity to explore processes end-to-end, both on entry level and in professional roles. Our flat corporate structure enables you to build strong ownership of the tasks and have a direct contact with senior leaders across Swiss Re universe.

About the role

We process supplier invoices and book them to the expense accounts and we verify correctness of each invoice.
We also process travel expenses of our employees within Swiss Re locations.
We communicate with our branches regarding invoice status, payment dates, discrepancies, and we run various ad hoc reports if necessary.
We participate on the quarterly closing activities and perform reconciliations.

About the team

There are 25 team members, who are organized in three smaller teams, based on countries we support. We are dedicated, cooperative people working in dynamic and knowledge-sharing environment.
Our purpose is, that all invoices and travel expenses are paid correctly and on the time. We support all areas of Swiss Re business across whole company structure.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

- Secondary school or University degree in Finance
- English – Good verbal and written business level (B2 minimum).
- Knowledge of basics in accounting – e.g. credit/debit.
- Intermediate user of MS Excel – e.g. pivot tables.
- Proactive attitude, team player, willing to learn with client-oriented approach.
- Strong attention to details.
