Job description, responsibilities and duties

Joining us, you become responsible for performance monitoring of shareholder assets, including regular and ad-hoc analytical report production and the qualitative and quantitative assessment process of portfolios managed by external managers on behalf of Swiss Re. This entails calculation, monitoring and maintenance of various performance indicators. In this role, you coordinate PnL review for sign off, perform exposure and risk-return analysis and interpret the results.

You regularly update or build standard reporting packages. We are always looking for smarter ways to work which triggers many changes to existing processes. About the Team
We are the Middle Office Markets and Investment Services team working in Swiss Re's Asset Management. Our key role is to produce and interpret regular analytical reports documenting the developments on our investment portfolios. Joining us you become the key Middle Office contact for front office market teams.

Key team responsibilities are:
-produce standard reporting and analysis on monthly/quarterly frequency with a focus on return, risk, exposure and transaction activity
-review and compile the data, ensuring its accuracy and completeness
-facilitate external investment managers monitoring
-ensure the production of asset management board presentations across various investment products
-lead various process and system improvement initiatives and stands as true partner for projects driven by front desk
-learn and implement new solutions, tools, application on both the business and technical side

The team works closely with internal clients based in Zurich, New York and London as well as liaises with other AM teams or IT professionals.

University education (Bachelor's degree)

Personality requirements and skills

We are looking for a motivated, upbeat candidate with the following background and skills:
-You have a university degree, preferably in finance/investment/economics, with a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant working experience
-You have a strong command of English language
-You have a very good understanding of various asset class products, portfolio analysis, and are curious to learn more
-You have a proficient command in MS Excel
-You are a good thinker and are attracted by analytical challenges
-You can drive through ambiguous situations and find effective solutions
-You bring along strong communication skills face to face as well as written, and are comfortable in communicating to a variety of partners
-You are keen and fast in learning how to use new tools and technologies (Tableau, MS BI, Power BI)
-You can deliver under the tight deadlines and drive your own initiative
-You have basic understanding of SQL
