Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are looking for a communications professional to lead internal and external communications initiatives that position and promote our rapidly expanding operation in Bratislava.

Key to success will be promoting our brand externally and internally as an employer of choice. This will include external engagement strategies targeting universities and professional associations to attract the brightest and best students and experts. You will also help raise our brand visibility, drive effective media and PR activities and foster employee engagement through internal and leadership communications.

You will be part of the EMEA Communications team, serve as Senior Communications Business Partner for the Slovakia Country Head and are a member of the Bratislava Extended Leadership Team.

The Senior Communications Business Partner:
• Improves Swiss Re's brand locally
• Advises and consults the Slovakia Country Head in leadership communications
• Leads external and internal communications initiatives
• Develops and implements integrated communication strategies, traditional and social media plans
• Oversees agency support for employer branding initiatives and guides a bright dotted line internal communications colleague
• Develops key messages across different channels, ensuring message consistency and timeliness
• Generates content supporting branding and PR activities
• Develops employer brand messaging aligned with Swiss Re's Employee Value Proposition
• Builds and maintains solid relationships with media
• Identifies and harnesses a broad range of relevant engagement platforms
• Defines and implements an effective mix of communications tools and measures
• Successfully utilizes digital and social media
• Assists in fostering employee alignment, dedication and performance
• Helps employees understand and support business strategies
• Facilitates change management efforts
• Measures success based on KPIs

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

• A Bachelor degree
• 8+ years of professional experience in Communications, Branding, PR
• Strong strategic, analytical and conceptual capabilities
• Excellent planning and project management skills
• Outstanding storytelling and writing skills
• Successfully implemented integrated communication strategies
• Proven skills in deploying social and digital media and leveraging channels/tools
• Outstanding influencing/networking capabilities
• Sound business judgement
• A healthy level of attention to detail
• Stamina and persistence to pursue new ideas
• Excellent MS Office skills
