About the role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a highly motivated, multi-jurisdictional legal team. The Company Secretariat Assistant is a position which demands high integrity, service orientation and self-confidence. In this role you will be able to work with a high degree of autonomy and directly see the results of your work.


Your key responsibilities:
• provide corporate secretariat services for legal entities located across Europe, primarily in the UK, Netherlands and Switzerland.
• organize and attend board and committee meetings and draft English-language documents for these meetings, e.g. agenda, minutes and resolutions.
• liaise with board members and senior management on organisational matters, the preparation of meetings and collecting signatures.
• support on legal and corporate secretariat formalities relating to the approval of annual accounts and changes in the board and management composition, incl. collection of internal approvals, preparation of regulatory filings.
• manage key company records and carry out filings with chamber of commerce and other company registries as well as regulators.
• complete corporate governance certifications and manage self-assessment processes to ensure organisations' compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements and our internal governance frameworks.
• contribute to the development of internal templates and standard procedures for corporate secretariat.
• monitor corporate governance and company secretariat developments in EMEA in coordination with outside counsels.

We are a multi-jurisdictional team composed of 20 legal professionals based in Europe and the US and we continue to grow as our business expands. We provide end-to-end advice on all legal and corporate governance matters relating to Swiss Re Group's highly dynamic Life Capital Business Unit. Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

About you:
• You have gained minimum 4 years of relevant professional work experience in a corporate secretariat or paralegal role in-house or in a law firm.
• You have excellent presentation and interpersonal skills and command of English written and verbal communications (German / Dutch language a plus).
• You display a "can do" mindset, are dedicated and put the client first.
• You enjoy working independently and handling multiple requests and deadlines in a changing environment with impeccable time management.
• You are recognised for your commercial mindset and communicate well to senior leadership, internal clients and colleagues and
• You are proficient in MS Office products such as Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point.
