We are looking for a well-rounded Data Analyst to suport us in developing skills in visualization. You will build compelling, interactive, and intuitive visualizations to assist business and Human Resources in making the right people decisions. By working closely with various teams, you will obtain requirements and an understanding of the business questions. Your goal is to simplify the complexity of the available data by building logical, relevant, and useful visuals. This presents a fantastic opportunity for you to become part of the HR Reporting & Analytics team. The team has begun an exciting journey to increase business impact through HR data.

In the past two years, the Swiss Re Human Resources function has significantly transformed its operating model to increase operational excellence and efficiency. Last year, we have started the exciting journey of transforming our capabilities to address the current needs, but also to be future-ready. In order to accelerate our journey, we are now looking for a Data Analyst and business consultant with BI knowledge. You will help us to dive into the analytical world by demonstrating our visualization capabilities and tools within the Bratislava team. This will form our first step of the digital transformation.

Active participation and in various HR projects assigned to our team
Support maintenance and improvements of the existing HR Reporting Database in close collaboration with IT.
Use Tableau data visualization tool to generate compelling, interactive visualizations across various data sources
Develop complex metric dashboards to further accelerate self-service capabilities, helping us to move away from manual reporting processes
Analyze and assess business challenges, evaluate appropriate solutions based on data analytics and visualizations, present your recommendations to the client’s middle or top management
Use Tableau to convert existing Excel Dashboards into Tableau dashboards
Commit to internal brainstorming sessions and workshops with unique insights and practical suggestions to make data more visual and understandable
Participate in crafting a strong data visualization strategy at Swiss Re and HR, including helping business users to become more analytical and self-sufficient with their data
Facilitate requirements gathering and discovery sessions
Build and provide data visualization trainings for the team in Bratislava together with our other Tableau specialist
Address identified data quality issues actively with the respective teams within HR.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

At least 2-3 years of work experience in similar roles.
Experienced in working with business leaders to define problem statements and solve them with advanced data driven solutions
Able to communicate effectively across different levels and various business functions
Creative approach to data visualization and good design aesthetic. Appreciate beauty and simplicity in reporting data
Proficient at SQL, wrangling data, and synthesizing large amounts of information
Solution and delivery oriented, stress resistant and team player
Excellent English language skills (written & oral) is a must
In-depth knowledge towards Excel as well business information systems
Preferably you bring a background in BI tools (e.g. Tableau) and/or an experience in HR industry
