Job description, responsibilities and duties

In this role you will be the key entry point for HR Partners and to the Business for all Reward topics. You will be an expert providing guidance and recommendations on all aspects of Reward, serving for the Business Functions Reinsurance and Life Capital.

Your main responsibilities include:
•Provide holistic advisory support on all aspects of Reward, primarily working with HR Partners and HR Advisors and Business representatives/leaders
•Support Head(s) of HR, and HR Partner on Reward projects, as well as client specific key Reward initiatives
•Lead the Annual Compensation Review process within client areas
•Provide guidance and advise on MD life-cycle events, such as hires, compensation offers and adjustments, transfers, redeployment and off-boarding
•Together with the HR Partner or Head of HR and Business leadership, set and design Reward strategic direction for assigned unit(s), ensuring alignment with the client strategy, with market practices, regulatory requirements and the Swiss Re Group Reward Strategy
•Lead on the execution of the Reward related Group Standards and the Group Reward Strategy as well as any other Human Resources initiatives from a One-HR perspective
•Identify and pro-actively develop and manage the delivery / communication of key Reward topics and market trends to the proper audiences within HR and the Business
•Ensure compliance with the Swiss Re Group governance framework and Compensation Standard

You can also get an opportunity to get involved involved in other areas of the Reward team, including (but not limited to) helping drive a sustainable, professional and structured communications programme within and from Reward, and also helping develop talents in Reward, and foster a cross-functional team ethic amongst the Reward department and across the Human Resources Department.

About the Team
The Reward department consists of around 40 employees, covering all Swiss Re regions and acting as a truly global team. Reward has a critical role to play in attracting, retaining and developing the talent that the Group need to succeed. Through the design, implementation and effective management of competitive, compliant and transparent Reward plans, Reward strive for full alignment with both the People Strategy and the Group Reward Strategy. The Reward Consultant provides consulting services and specialist advice to a range of different stakeholders on Compensation, Benefits and International Mobility issues.

Requirements for the employee

University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

•Around 7+ years demonstrated and successful experience in various subject areas of Total Reward (Compensation, Benefits or International Mobility Management), ideally in an international business environment
•Strong client centricity and high level of quality in own work
•Effective Team Player with the ability to build consensus in cross functional teams
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to translate technical concepts into "plain" language for a broader audience with various perspectives
•Demonstrated ability to manage relationships inside and outside of HR, and to work closely together within the HR community to establish strong rapports and credibility at all levels
•Good decision maker and influencer
•Critical ability to handle multiple tasks and reprioritise effectively, and to work with minimal direct oversight in an unstructured environment
•Demonstrated success in managing projects and resources
•Proactive with proven self-starting and "make it happen" attitude, not hesitating to take ownership
•Understanding of critical elements of successful Reward programs
•Superior analytical skills, along with the ability to advise on alternatives and offer creative solutions
•Excellent knowledge of MS office skills and data analysis
•Fluent in English, any other language (especially German) an advantage
•Higher degree / education
