This is a rare opportunity to join a new team in the early stages of its development. We are looking for talented individuals, who can bring expertise with an enthusiastic 'Can do' attitude to our team and help us build a new, complete, Finance team in Bratislava.

In this role you will be responsible for building the Financial Planning and Analysis information for the company and assist with the Solvency II reporting. Both will include managing deliverables on a quarterly and annual basis. You will be pivotal in establishing a robust plan approach, and the subsequent monitoring of iptiQ's performance during the year and include building driving efficiency and improvements in execution in our current systems.

There is also an expectation for continuous improvement and involvement in the development of systems and processes to meet Solvency II requirements.

You will work with the iptiQ Finance team to ensure that the below tasks and activities are provided with the highest quality and in accordance to deadlines. You will provide hands-on support when required, but also seek opportunities to further develop and improve the team's delivery processes. Your skills and experience allows you to support and perform quality checks on deliverables produced all teams feeding into this role.

Your main customers:
•Group Finance and iptiQ Financial Reporting Luxembourg
•SII reporting team

Working to tight deadlines, assist in the production of an accurate 3 and 10 year plan in USGAAP and LuxGAAP:
1.Provide monthly, quarterly management information on the performance of the business and presentations for sharing results with senior partners.
2.Provide coordination and oversight of FP&A information gathering developing relationships with our partners to ensure good quality input and results.
3.Ensure high levels of quality and consistency across all deliverables and outputs
4.Hands-on monitoring and forecasting for iptiQ Life SA.
5.Close collaboration with the Financial Reporting team in Luxembourg to supply accurate reporting and forecasting on time.
6.Collaboration with team-mates to prepare timely and accurate reporting.
7.Work closely with the SII team in the early part of the year to deliver annual reporting, and support quarterly regulatory deliverables.
8.Support team adherence to the Company risk and control framework.
9.Facilitate audit requests and prepare information in connection with the external audit and other external parties, including regulators and other governmental institutions.
10.Perform ad-hoc tasks as required

About the team
iptiQ EMEA was setup by Swiss Re in January 2016, and is an integral part of the Life Capital group of entities. Being part of a large group, and benefiting from the backing and resources it offers we have grown quickly using Finance specialists based across Europe. Our size and growth are at a stage where we need a dedicated Finance hub for our company that works closely together in one location. We looked at our existing European Countries and identified Bratislava as the right place to grow our finance team. We have numerous responsibilities as you would expect; day-to-day operational finance activities as well as accounting, reporting, analytics and commentaries according to accounting policies for Group, Local Branch & Entities, Economic, and Solvency II valuation principles for the Life and Holdings companies where relevant.

Personality requirements and skills

1.You will have five or more year's hands-on experience in an FP&A, Accounting or Actuarial environment.
2.We would like you to have a university degree in a financial risk, actuarial sciences, accounting, business administration, Science or economics subject.
3.You will benefit from having some insurance operational knowledge or financial services experience of FP&A.
4.You are a highly motivated, comfortable working in a fast growing, professional and collaborative international environment.
5.You are someone that enjoys interacting with people with great written and verbal communication skills, allowing you to cultivate close relationships with your business partners.
6.Your communication skills will be invaluable in building effective bonds with other local functions and overseas teams to deliver strong performance.
7.You show composure and confidence in interacting with senior internal and external partners, and in providing core regulatory reporting.
8.Analytical skills and comprehensive thinking will come naturally to you, along with an eye for detail and ability to apply good judgement.
9.You possess strong IT skills, particularly in regards of databases and MS Excel
10.You naturally thrive in a target driven environment, and possess the dedication to work independently, and to deliver on expectations.
11.Strong focus on delivering high quality output within tight time frames
12.Ability to work effectively in a complex, multi-dimensional and matrix organization
13.There is an ongoing requirement for you to challenge and improve working practices and engage on change projects where required.
14.Excellent command of the English language, with French language skills beneficia
